Anxiety is an acute reaction to intense stress, it is the most common psychiatric condition in the United States.
Anxiety disorders may require medication and therapy but learning to manage stress can help so it doesn't ovewhelm you.
Here are some tips to cope, ease and prevent it:
Cut all caffeine
Make routine exercise art of your daily life
Learn relaxation techniques, breathing, yoga, meditation
Set a time to relax twice a day, one before going to bed
Avoid conversations related to the cause(s), external and internal
Occupy yourself, stay busy, boredom feeds anxiety
Eat healthy
Find a trusted listener, talk about your worries with someone you trust
Learn to fully live the moment, no one can predict the future
Everybody worries, it is only a problem when it overwhelms you
Ask yourself if your thoughts or worries are helpful to you
Give worries a schedule, a set time during the day, no more than 45 minutes, this is the only
time when you will think about them
Learn to distinguish actual facts from worries, worries are just possibilities
If worries are not facts, just 'ifs', or negative thoughts, learn to eliminate them from your mind
Ponder all the possible outcomes and assign a percentage to the possibility of your worries

other options that can also happen above your worst scenario
Write your feelings, the outcome possibilities, your attributes, ways you can contribute to
change your situation, think on actions you can take about your worries, plan if you can do
something about it
Put your worries in perspective of the consequences in your life, don't sweat the small stuff
If there's nothing you can do about your worry learn to let it go
Remember your strengths, you've beaten this in the past
Be positive, stay positive
Unknown does not have to be bad, remember all your unknowns in the past that turned out fine
Forget the past, reset your life, you can't go to the future, all you have is this moment, then the
next, make the best of it

Am I jumping to conclusions?
